About Us

Since 2015, Team Moose Animal Rescue has been dedicated to helping the dogs who need it most. We focus on rescuing high medical-needs dogs, special-needs dogs, and vulnerable litters of puppies, many of whom arrive at shelters alone, without their mothers, and with limited options for survival.
As a volunteer-run nonprofit, Team Moose steps in where others cannot, providing lifesaving medical care, safe and nurturing foster homes, and the time each dog needs to heal and thrive. Our work not only gives these dogs a second chance but also helps reduce shelter overcrowding and prevent unnecessary euthanasia in our community.
Everything we do is made possible through compassion, teamwork, and the support of people who believe every life has value. Together with our fosters, volunteers, supporters, and partners, Team Moose continues to say “yes” to dogs who have nowhere else to turn; one rescue, one recovery, and one hopeful future at a time.

our Mission Statement

Team Moose Animal Rescue is volunteer run and dedicated to saving dogs who are often overlooked, including medical-needs, special-needs, and at-risk dogs. We provide compassionate care, safe foster homes, and the opportunity to heal and thrive. Through community support, advocacy, and education we can say “yes” to dogs that have nowhere else to turn.

Our goals

These goals are achievable with the continuing help of volunteers and the public. We thank each and every person and organization who helps in every way to create a better future for not just the animals of this shelter and area, but for all animals.

Our short term goals:

Team Moose Animal Rescue is committed to supporting local animal shelters by continuing our transport and networking efforts to help dogs find safety beyond the shelter walls. By working closely with shelters and rescue partners, we are able to step in quickly when dogs need immediate placement and care.

We will continue to accept donations of food, supplies, and financial support to meet the urgent needs of the animals who come into our rescue. These resources allow us to provide medical care, nourishment, and comfort so each dog can be placed into a safe foster home or, when possible, a loving forever home.

Medical supplies, shelter supplies, food, and other essential items are always needed and deeply appreciated. Any donated items not directly used by Team Moose are shared through our community outreach efforts or donated to fellow rescues to assist with animals being pulled from shelters.

Through compassion, collaboration, and community support, our short-term goals focus on meeting immediate needs while creating pathways to safety and second chances for the dogs who depend on us.

Our long term goals:

Team Moose Animal Rescue is committed to always being a voice for animals who cannot speak for themselves. Our long-term goal is to advocate for the most vulnerable, raise awareness, and help bring an end to the abuse and neglect animals continue to face in our community.

We will continue to provide comprehensive medical care to dogs in need, giving them the time and support required to heal, recover, and ultimately find loving forever homes. For dogs whose journeys may look different, we remain dedicated to ensuring they experience comfort, dignity, and the best possible quality of life.

Education remains a vital part of our mission. We strive to inform and empower our community about fostering, responsible pet ownership, and the unique care and joy that comes with helping special-needs dogs thrive.

Through advocacy, education, and compassionate action, Team Moose Animal Rescue will continue working toward a future where every animal is valued, protected, and given the chance they deserve.
